  • Every 2nd Friday, Mount Dora hosts Art in the Alley, with original art, handmade goods, music, and more. The downtown galleries will have extended hours and free admission. Begin by getting an Art in the Alley map from The Mount Dora Center for the Arts Gallery, have your map punched at each of the gallery stops, and return with your completed map to the Gatehouse Gallery at the Lakeside Inn for your chance to win a special prize. Galleries will be open from 6:00 - 8:00 pm and the sidewalk artists and musicians will be there until 9:00 pm.

  • Friday Night at the Black Box: this evening at 8 pm at the Clermont Performing Arts Center, you can see headliner Dean Napolitano along with Dougie Almeida and emcee Lyndsey Glazer. Note: some calendars include this event and some don't, so you may want to verify that it's happening before going.

  • Full Moon Guided Kayak Paddle: guided by the glow of the full moon and a guide, you'll enjoy the beauty and mystery of Hammond Lake in Clermont from 6:00 - 7:45 pm. You can use one of their single kayaks for $40, or you can bring your own kayak for $25 per person (tandems or single). Reserve your spot online. The minimum age for kayaking is 8.

  • Bill Buchman's Art of Jazz Quartet: if you like jazz, check out Bill Buchman on piano, Rick Aaron on flute, Rob Fors on bass, and Skip Conkling on drums at the Modernism Museum Gallery in Mount Dora beginning at 7 pm.
