Hello! Let's start talking about everyone's favorite time of the week... the weekend! Here's what's coming up for you to do this weekend right here in Lake County Florida:
Friday, November 22, 2019:
Tap into your creative side and sign up for the Bob Ross Style Painting Class of Snow Capped Mountains at the Artrageous Art Gallery from 1-4 pm. You'll be working with a Certified Bob Ross instructor to create your painting which includes a lake surrounded by snow capped trees. The $55 price includes all the needed supplies.
Come out to the Thanksgiving Potluck Party at Anastassia Ballroom & Dance in Leesburg tonight at 7 pm. Admission is free with a donation of $5-$10 worth of canned goods that will benefit our local Central Florida Food Bank. Please bring your favorite dish or a refreshment to share. You'll enjoy a potluck dinner, ballroom dancing, and an evening of mingling with fellow dance enthusiasts.
Take a short drive to Wildwood for the Under the Stars Movie Night at Millenium Park. The Disney movie The Lion King will begin at 7 pm. Please bring your own chairs, blankets, and snacks to this free event. Concession items will be available for purchase.
Friday, November 22, 2019 - Sunday, November 24, 2019:
The Bay Street Players in Eustis are presenting A Christmas Carol - A New Musical Adaptation on Friday and Saturday at 8 pm and on Sunday at 2 pm. Tickets are $21 but if you have a student ID the price is $11.
Saturday, November 23, 2019:
Take a ride to nearby Wildwood for the 10th Annual Christmas in the Villages Celebration at the Wildwood Community Center from 10 am - 4 pm. Admission and parking are free. There will be continuous entertainment, a visit from Santa, vendors, raffle drawings & food.
It's the 4th Saturday of the month, so that means it's time for the Classic Car Cruise-In in downtown Eustis today from 4-8 pm. You'll enjoy seeing classic and exotic cars being displayed at this free event. There will be music, shopping, and dining opportunities plus cash prizes and a 50/50 drawing.
Saturday, November 23, 2019 - Sunday, November 24, 2019:
Grand Oaks Resort in Weirsdale / Lady Lake presents the Grand Oaks Eventing Weekend - USEA Horse Trials each day from 8 am until approximately 5 pm. You'll see competitive events including dressage, cross country racing, and show jumping at this free family-friendly event that welcomes spectators. Seating is provided but you can bring a lawn chair if you prefer. The Bistro Restaurant, Bar, and Coffee Shop will be open.
