Android Smartphone & Tablet Users:
Android Basics: Bring your fully charged Android smartphone or tablet to this workshop that deals with Android devices only. Newer Android users will build up their skills and learn battery management, settings, updates, apps, browsers, security, and other things needed for using an Android device. Beginning Android: Be sure to bring your fully charged Android device to this class where you will learn about using Google Voice Search, email, maps, Google GPS, Google Play, and more. Registration is required and you can register online beginning on 6/20/24. The class will take place on Thursday, July 11, 2024, from 10:30 am - 12 noon at the W.T. Bland Memorial Library in Mount Dora (1995 N. Donnelly Street).

Apple iPhone & iPad Users:
Basic iPhone / iPad Class: Join the Geek Squad from Best Buy on the 4th Friday of each month at the Lady Lake Public Library (225 W. Guava Street) to teach and assist with basic Apple device usage. Advance registration is not required. This occurs on Friday, June 28, 2024, or Friday, July 26, 2024, from 9:30 - 11:00 am.
Basic iPhone / iPad Usage: Every 2nd Friday of the month, the Geek Squad from Best Buy will be at the Lady Lake Public Library (225 W. Guava Street) to help you understand the basics of your Apple device. Advance registration is not required. Join them on Friday, July 12, 2024, from 9:30 - 11:00 am.

This workshop will teach you how to access eBooks, audiobooks, magazines, movies, documentaries, albums, and more on your smartphone or tablet. You'll download free library apps for the Cloud Library, Flipster, Kanopy, and Hoopla and you'll become familiar with how to use them to find what you're looking to enjoy.
