2:00 - 4:00 pm: Kids and tweens ages 8-12 can enjoy a Pokemon Scavenger Hunt at the Marion Baysinger Memorial County Library in Groveland (756 W. Broad Street). Bring your decks, swap cards, and test your Pokemon Go Skills at the gym.
Wednesday, June 19, 2024:
10 am: Epic Theatres in Mount Dora (2300 Spring Harbor Boulevard) or Clermont (2405 S. Highway 27) is showing Minions: The Rise of Gru for $1 as part of their Kids Summer Movies Series.

1:00 am - 1:00 pm: Gatorland Orlando is bringing Animal Encounters to the Cooper Memorial Library in Clermont (2525 Oakley Seaver Drive). Enjoy this free event and get to see and learn about reptiles up close!
5:30 - 8:30 pm: Teens ages 13-18 will enjoy the Thrive Summer PopUp in at the Puryear Building in Groveland (243 S. Lake Avenue). Admission is $10.25 per teen including the activity they select and dinner. Choices include Introduction to Robotics, Make & Take Alley, Chess Tactics, Photography, Juggling, the 3C's of College Admission, Origami, CSI Bomb Squad, and more. 11:00 am - 12:00 noon: enjoy the free Comedy Maks Variety Show by mime Max Annaev and see juggling, spinning plates, and visual & physical comedy at the Minneola City Hall Gym (800 US-27).
2:00 - 3:00 pm: The Central Florida Zoo presents Florida Natives, a free show featuring animals that share our state at the W.T. Bland Public Library in Mount Dora (1995 N. Donnelly Street).
5:00 - 10:00 pm: The Kehlor Recreation Center in Clermont (466 W. Minneola Avenue) hosts a free Teen Night (ages 13-18) with different activities and things to do planned every 1st, 3rd, & 5th Friday.

Enjoy Star Wars trivia with prizes, lightsaber building (registration required, space limited, ages 8-18), Padawan crafts, and photo-ops. Costumes are encouraged but not required. You may even get to meet some of your favorite characters!
2:00 - 4:00 pm: Take on the Spy Kids Initiative mission (should you choose to accept it) of deciphering secret codes, fingerprints, puzzles, and more at the Marion Baysinger Memorial County Library in Groveland (756 W. Broad Street).
Wednesday, June 26, 2024:
10 am: Epic Theatres in Mount Dora (2300 Spring Harbor Boulevard) or Clermont (2405 S. Highway 27) is showing Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem for $1 as part of their Kids Summer Movies Series.
11:00 am - 12:00 noon: The professional circus artist Circus Gracie will be doing a show at the Leesburg Public Library (100 E. Main Street). Kids will enjoy spinning plates plus juggling, and they'll learn the science behind the art.
11 am - 1 pm: It's Wacky Water Wednesday in Groveland at the Ronald Sefton Gaffney Memorial Park (121 Maravilla Way). Kids can enjoy water slides, activities, free ice cream, live animals, and more at this free event.
2:00 - 3:30 pm: The Kids Adventure Club at Cagan Crossing Community Library in Clermont (16729 Cagan Oaks) is hosting a Pirate Plunder event where kids ages 5-14 explore the world of pirates.

11:00 am - 1:00 pm: Come out and enjoy the Mobile Planetarium at the Cooper Memorial Library in Clermont (2525 Oakley Seaver Drive), a free event for all ages presented by the Orlando Science Center.
1:00 - 3:00 pm: Join in a Pokemon Craft & Scavenger Hunt at the Astor County Library (54905 Alco Road). Activities include crafting a Poke-ball and finding hidden Pokemon through the library. You'll also enjoy trivia and card swapping.
2:00 - 4:00 pm: Today is a Super Smash Bros. Gaming Tournament at the Leesburg Public Library (100 E. Main Street). Registration is required, and children under 9 must be accompanied by an adult caregiver at this event designed for school-aged children & teens ages 6-18.

Saturday, June 29, 2024:
6:00 - 10:00 pm: Enjoy an early Independence Day celebration: The Big Bang, at the Guava Street Athletic Complex in Lady Lake (221 W. Guava Street). Enjoy fun, food, and fireworks (beginning at 9:15 pm). There will be live music, a foam party, a watermelon eating contest, a mechanical bull, a dunk tank, food trucks, bounce houses, and an art table.

Any Time:
If you need to cool off, Clermont Champions Splash Park may be just what you need. Admission is $2 per person, and children must always be supervised. It's open daily from 10 am - 6 pm Monday - Thursday and 10 am - 5 pm Friday - Sunday.
If you prefer to take the family to a pool, the HO Dabney Leesburg Aquatic Center is $2 per person. Open swimming is on weekdays from 12 noon - 5 pm and weekends from 11:30 am - 6:00 pm.
Take the family to see nature on the Lake Apopka Wildlife Drive! This one-way drive through wetlands on a hard-packed, dirt road will let you view birds, gators, mammals, reptiles, and amphibians.
