On Tuesdays I've been focusing on products that would be useful for renters or those in smaller living spaces. Since Christmas is coming up, that got me to looking at some of the most wished for items, but I want to take it a step further. Let's not talk about items that people wish for that they use once and never touch again - let's talk about items that people are wishing for that would actually be useful for a long time!
Number 1 - Instant Pot!
No big surprise here, but the number one most wished for item in the Home & Kitchen category on Amazon is... an Instant Pot!
I've been researching them and shopping for one, and it definitely seems like the sale prices on them are excellent. Just make sure that when you order one, select the correct size for your needs. The link above is for a 3 quart, the Mini (way too small for me). You can select the six or eight quart option to make larger meals. Can't wait to try mine! There are quite a few models of Instant Pots out there that you can choose from. Here are more choices:
Number 2 - Weighted Blanket!
This one surprised me, probably because I’m in Florida, but the second most wished for item in the Home & Kitchen category on Amazon is... a weighted blanket!
Here’s another item offered for greatly reduced prices. Blankets begin with a weight of 5 pounds and go all the way up to 30 pounds. I guess for people that live in cold areas, these would be great! They say that sleeping with a weighted blanket helps to relax you by simulating being hugged.
Number 3 - Robot Vacuum!
If you've been watching TV lately and have been following along during the commercials, this probably won't come as a surprise either. The third most wished for item in the Home & Kitchen category on Amazon is... a Robot Vacuum!
We’re all busy, so who wants to spend time vacuuming? This is a Wi-Fi connected, self-charging vacuum that works on carpets and hard floors. You can turn it on by pressing the clean button or control it with Alexa. The feature I like is you can schedule when it runs through an app (like when no one is home). After running for 90 minutes, the vacuum returns to the docking station to recharge.
Another interesting product that’s similar to this is the iRobot Braava Jet Mop. It promises clean, fresh floors every day and is perfect for hard floors and tile.
I'm always in favor of any device that can make life easier. I can say for sure after trying my Instant Pot that without question, it's a great tool in the kitchen. A friend of mine has a robot vacuum and she loves it - she said she has it programmed to run at the time of day when she's not home. By the time she gets back, the floors and carpet are done. I would think if you're looking for something for yourself or if you need the perfect gift for a renter or a homeowner, any one of these items would do the trick!
